Containing Space
The designer should have clear knowledge of the containing space of the compression spring so as to effectively grasp the basic specifications of the compression spring, including outer diameter, inner diameter and solid height etc.
Spring Loading
The designer should have clear knowledge of the spring position and born force of the compression spring. Material, wire diameter and coil number can be decided only after determining the position and the force required.
Environmental Factors
Used in different environments, the service life of the spring will be influenced by various environmental factors. The designer should take into consideration the temperature and humidity changes. The temperature has great influence to the service life of the spring. High humidity is easy to oxidize the unprocessed spring surface. Surface treatment and material selection of the spring are decided by environmental factors.
End-to-end Distance & Space
The two ends of the extension spring will affect the hang hook style and the solid height of the extension spring. The space can determine the size and outer diameter of the adhesion part.
Pre-stretch Loading
The pre-stretch loading decides the material and wire diameter of the spring. The size of adhesion part can adjust the pre-stretch length.
Outer diameter of core axis
The inner diameter of the torsion spring is basedon the size of core axis. The spring changes after the torsion should also be taken into account. Considerable allowances should be pre-set.
Inner Diameter of Container
The built-in space of a torsion spring determines the outer diameter, solid height and coil number of the spring body.
Torsion Pivot
There should be a pivot supporting torsion spring’s motion. This pivot decides the length and style of the torsion bar.
Motion Ends
The angle between the torsion bar and the pivot in motionless state determines the bar length, style and the angle with the pivot bar.
